Colombian authorities have confiscated a replica of the World Cup trophy made of cocaine at Bogota’s international airport.
The airport’s anti-drug chief, said the cocaine statue was found inside a carton in a mail warehouse and was destined for Spain.
Laboratory tests confirmed the trophy was made from 11 kilos of cocaine mixed with acetone or gasoline, to make it into a paste that could be
molded.
Police said the investigation would continue as they tried to confirm the identities of those slated to receive the shipment in Spain.
