The United States host the APEC Summit in Honolulu in November 2011

The United States host the summit of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation 2011 in Honolulu, in Hawaii, in November 2011, revealed the White House.

“The White House is pleased to announce today that the meeting of APEC leaders in 2011 will be held in Honolulu on 12 and 13 November 2011, the White House said in a statement.

“The president will welcome his fellow economic leaders of APEC countries in the state where he was born and could show the rich cultural heritage and hospitality of Hawaii,” the statement said.

“The United States is a Pacific country which has with the Asia-Pacific economic ties strong, durable and essential for the prosperity of the American people,” the statement said.

The White House said the U.S. will take this opportunity to highlight the vast potential of the Asia-Pacfique for companies and American workers, and to help shape the security and economic future of the region.

APEC’s 21 members, meets annually to summit in one of the member countries alternately.

The U.S. president was born in 1961 in Honolulu, capital of the State of Hawaii, where he spent his youth.
